Inside AVA Arts District
Coinciding with the ribbon-cutting ceremony of AVA Arts District, UrbanizeLA shares a look into Avalon Bay’s flagship project. This seven-story building, with 475 units, would stand as the sixth tallest building in Los Angeles if oriented vertically. Designed with creatives in mind, each unit features 150 square feet of dedicated workspace. The common areas are adorned with murals by local artists, and the amenity spaces also serve as creative work environments.
AVA LA revitalizes the surrounding area, creating opportunities for future retail, dining, and residential projects to flourish. This progress also helps existing establishments, such as The ROW, gain more traction. The Arts District will continue to transform, with new retail slated to occupy the ground floor of AVA. Situated directly south across Industrial Street from a vacant site, AVA is positioned opposite a future mixed-use housing project by Camden Property Trust. Additionally, new film production facilities are planned at the intersections of Alameda Street with 6th, 7th, and 8th Streets, further evolving the area’s dynamic atmosphere.
