AVA Arts District, winner in the Housing category, serves as a creative hub for artists and innovators. The seven-story development includes 475 live/work units, with spaces designed for arts, production, co-working, and wellness. It also features ground-floor retail and community spaces, further enhancing its role as a cornerstone for creative living.
In the Concept Design category, OU had two additional projects recognized. 4th & Hewitt stands out in the Arts District as a post-pandemic reimagining of workspaces, embracing sustainability, connectivity, and creativity. It redefines urban work-life dynamics with a holistic approach, symbolizing progress and innovation. Meanwhile, 727 Grand, a forward-thinking proposal for a downtown Los Angeles data center, transforms the concept of a functional building into an architectural landmark. Its dynamic façade plays with light, shadow, and form, continually evolving in appearance, and enhances connectivity across both residential and commercial sectors.
